About Manipal Institute of Technology
MIT Manipal was established in 1957 and is a constituent institute of Manipal University. It became a constituent institute of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Manipal University) in 2000. MIT Manipal courses include undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA in various disciplines. For B.Tech and M.Tech courses, MIT Manipal admissions are made through MET, and for MCA selection is done based on merit. To be eligible for MIT Manipal courses, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks or must possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
As per the NIRF Ranking 2023, MIT Manipal has secured the 55th rank in the engineering category with a score of 48.33. The placement cell has over 300 recruiting teams to help the students get placed at top companies during the placement.
